Jane Gibian, tidemark
The poems in tidemark explore place and language, zooming in on subtle details, and engaging with both the specific and the transient. Some are fluid and sensual, while others are poems that luxuriate playfully in the texts of modern life, from restaurant reviews to Freecycle.
Jane Gibian is a Sydney poet and librarian whose publications include Ardent (Giramondo, 2007), small adjustments and other poems (Wagtail poetry magazine, 2008) and a chapbook of haiku, long shadows (Vagabond Press, 2005).
