It expertly blends everyday human experiences, non-human animal subjectivities, global flows of materials and information, and the ongoing extractive processes that fuel those flows. Gomez writes about the constant motion that makes up everyday life, and the strange occurrences we might observe if we attempt to pause for a moment.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eElena Gomez lives on unceded Wurundjeri country. Elena’s poetry has previously been highly commended and shortlisted in the Judith Wright Poetry Prize, the Newcastle Poetry Prize and the Fair Work Prize. Elena is currently the Poetry Editor at \u003cem\u003eOverland\u003c\/em\u003e journal.
