Angela Serrano (Twitter: @angelita_serra ) often feels she has lived nine lives: as a military reservist, academic, producer, actor, model, yogini, improv comedian, journalist, and literary writer. She has lived most these lives across two countries, the Philippines and Australia, with brief but memorable trips to Europe and North America. She has studied at the Ateneo de Manila University, La Trobe University and the Improv Conspiracy Theatre. Her writing has appeared in several Australian publications, including Archer Magazine, Cordite Poetry Review, Mascara Literary Review, Verity La, Overland, and The Lifted Brow. In 2017, she was a Hot Desk Fellow at the Wheeler Centre. Her recent creative work challenges unconscious racism, and explores non-heteronormative erotic love and alternative femininities. She believes the best moments of a life are hardly those that populate a resume.
